Practical setup guides.

Short operational notes for the three services Blazbyte sells: Windows RDP, Ubuntu RDP and private VPN.

Connect to Windows RDP

Use Microsoft Remote Desktop, the IPv4 endpoint, port 3389 unless your service page says otherwise, and the login user shown in the portal.

  1. Open Remote Desktop Connection on Windows, or Microsoft Remote Desktop on macOS/iOS/Android.
  2. Enter the IPv4 endpoint from the service page. If a custom port is shown, use host:port.
  3. Sign in with the user shown in the portal. Rotate the first password after login.
  4. Keep Network Level Authentication enabled unless support asks you to change it.

Connect to Ubuntu RDP

Ubuntu RDP services ship with a desktop environment and SSH. RDP is for desktop work; SSH is for administration.

  1. Use the RDP endpoint and port from the service page.
  2. For SSH, connect to the same IPv4 endpoint on port 22 unless support notes a custom port.
  3. Run updates regularly or choose Assisted setup / Managed care.
  4. If the desktop session is blank, open a technical ticket and include the service ID.

Use your private VPN

VPN services use named client profiles. WireGuard is recommended unless you need OpenVPN for legacy devices.

  1. Install WireGuard or OpenVPN on the device.
  2. Download or request the profile from the support ticket used for handoff.
  3. Import the profile, connect, then confirm the public IP matches the selected gateway region.
  4. Do not share one profile across many users. Ask for extra profiles when needed.

First-login security checklist

A few actions reduce most common RDP and VPN risks.

  1. Change the first password or request a password rotation after provisioning.
  2. Keep only required ports open. Use the RDP hardening pack if you want us to configure this.
  3. Use unique VPN profiles per person or device.
  4. Open a ticket immediately if you suspect credential exposure.

Snapshots and recovery

Daily and weekly snapshots are optional add-ons for RDP servers. VPN configs can be regenerated through support.

  1. Enable daily snapshots for workloads where losing a day of data is unacceptable.
  2. Use weekly snapshots for low-change desktop environments.
  3. Test restore-sensitive workloads before relying on snapshots in production.
  4. For VPN profile loss, open a ticket and request profile regeneration.

Billing, renewal and cancellation

Orders, invoices and renewals are visible in the client portal.

  1. Open the service page to see renewal date and recurring amount.
  2. Open a billing ticket to cancel, upgrade, downgrade or request a refund review.
  3. Manual bank-transfer orders activate after payment confirmation.
  4. Keep billing contact details current to avoid missed renewal notices.
